My Philosophy

The essence of my classes is to make you feel good while moving, find joy and recharge in a friendly environment, learn new things and develop yourself at your own pace.

Let movement be a pleasure!

Let sport be a pleasure!

Let movement be your therapy!

Life-Philosophy:

The greatest enemy of the modern human has become its lifestyle.

While the world and technology are developing at an incredible pace our bodies are unable to keep up with it, even though humans are the most adaptive creatures on earth.

Our genes are not coded for a sedentary lifestyle.

Our ancestors spent 10-16 hours a day being active.

This does not mean that they had to run non-stop chasing wild animals or running away from them but they were active from morning to evening.

Today it has become the complete opposite.

Today's modern human spends 10-16 hours a day sitting, but at least without moving.

We, modern Europeans, would ideally "compress" this genetically encoded need  into a one-hour session per day.

Moreover, even if we are so dedicated to do workout regularly, we don't do it in a varied way either.

For example, I "only" run, "only" cycle, "only" go to the gym, etc.,

The workouts we do are uniform and not varied.

Our body needs VARIED and HARMONIC movement.

Now we could say that it's neither different if I only do kickboxing, which I completely agree with, but it's great for one type of workout during the week, and I also encourage you to do other workouts, free time activities on the other days: walk, hike, swim, bike, do yoga!

 Do anything just MOVE!

Walk home from work sometimes if you can!

The variety of INTENSITY is also important.

You don't have to do exercises every day with maximum strength, or constantly pushing your limits.

Also, the intensity should be varied even within a given workout!

The human body is "designed" for interval trainings.

Have new habits!

DO TINY MOVES!

If you are a sedentary worker it is advisable to change positions often.

Always sit a little differently! Do tiny moves!

Just do not to leave your body in the same position for hours!

Get up to stretch sometimes!

STRETCH!

Do you stretch after waking up?

If you have a cat or a dog watch them how they stretch instinctively after every nap.

We also need to stretch after every long period of immobility!

Not just in the mornings!

Let stretching be your new habit!

USE NASAL BREATHING!

Did you know that nasal breathing is the natural way of breathing?

Nothing shows this better than the fact that newborn babies cannot breathe through their mouths, they only learn this later.

Breathing through the nose has many important functions.

A few examples:

·       It cleans the air and filters out pathogens

·       It warms and humidifies the air

·       It has a vasodilating effect, thereby lowering blood pressure and increasing blood circulation

Nasal breathing, whether during exercise, during everyday life or during sleep, has many positive effects on the body. Practice it too!

Fun fact:

If you want to concentrate on your task at work, just tell your colleagues that you can't chat with them because you're practicing nasal breathing :)

WALK BAREFOOT!

In every class we work barefoot.

It is important that your body could be able to "feel" its real, anatomical structure.

The shoes - due to their narrow toe boxes - do not allow the toes to spread naturally, so they are squeezed in this position for most of the day that can cause serious deformities with time.

Also, the freely spreaded toes play an important role in balancing!

Furthermore, the stiffer the sole of the shoe, the less the feet can roll while walking, and the less the muscles of the sole are used.

A way of solution can be the use of barefoot shoes, but let's definitely switch to using them gradually!

I encourage you to include barefoot walks in your life! There are also so-called "Barefoot" Parks designed for this purpose, where you can give cool stimuli to your feet on different surfaces.

Shoes off!
